Overview

UniFi

The UniFi module brings your UniFi Network controllers into concorbit. Connect a controller once, assign each of its sites to the customer it belongs to (or to Internal for your own sites), and see that customer's network devices alongside their CRM record, tickets, and billing, without leaving the platform.

How it is organised

  • Controller connections live in Settings > Integrations > UniFi. A connection is the controller itself: its URL and API key. You might have one shared controller hosting many customers' sites, plus the odd customer-owned controller.

  • Site assignments live in the UniFi module. Each site on a controller is assigned to exactly one owner: a customer company, or Internal (your own premises). The assignment carries that customer's feature toggles.

  • Devices appear automatically. A background sync sweeps each controller every few minutes and keeps a snapshot of sites and devices, so pages load instantly and your controllers are never hammered by page views.

Getting started

  1. Create an API key on your controller (Settings > Control plane > Integrations)

  2. Add the controller in Settings > Integrations > UniFi and test the connection; the first site sync queues automatically

  3. Open UniFi in the sidebar, pick a customer, choose the controller and site, and assign it

  4. Optionally link the assignment to one of the customer's premises (their Site record)

  5. Set the toggles for what this customer's assignment allows

Per-customer toggles

Each site assignment has four switches:

  • View: the site and its devices are visible (on by default)

  • Adopt: pending devices can be adopted onto the site (managed actions)

  • Basic changes: restart, rename, and SSID changes (managed actions)

  • Public WiFi: captive portal and guest capture (coming with public WiFi support)

Toggles are off by default apart from View. Managed actions (adopt, restart, rename, SSID changes) ship in a later phase; the toggles gate them from day one.

Permissions

  • UniFi view: see assignments, sites, and devices, including the canvas panels

  • UniFi manage: assign sites to owners, change toggles, trigger syncs

  • Controller credentials are managed separately under tenant settings, so module users never see or change the API key.

Canvas panels

Two panels are available on the canvas and dashboard:

  • UniFi sites: all assigned sites with device counts; clicking a customer site sets the company context

  • UniFi devices: devices for the company in context
