Getting Started

Getting Started with concorbit

concorbit is a business operating system that replaces fragmented software stacks with a single, integrated platform. This guide walks you through your first steps after signing up.

Creating Your Workspace

When you sign up for concorbit, a workspace is created for your organisation. A workspace is your private environment where all your data lives, contacts, invoices, documents, passwords, and more. Each workspace is completely isolated from others.

During the trial

  • You have 7 days of full access to every feature.

  • The trial is limited to 1 user seat.

  • A card is required to start your trial.

  • When you're ready, subscribe to a paid tier to continue and invite your team.

Choosing a tier

concorbit offers three paid tiers. Each tier unlocks additional modules:

TierPriceModules Included
concorbit£19/user/monthCRM, Email, Vault, Portal, Docs
concorbit Pro£39/user/monthEverything in concorbit + Billing (invoicing, subscriptions, payments)
concorbit Agency£49/user/month + £29/sub-tenant/monthEverything in concorbit Pro + sub-tenant management for agencies

Annual billing saves 10%. A minimum of 3 user seats is required for all paid plans.

You can change your tier at any time from Settings > Subscription.

Your First Login

After creating your account, you'll land on the Dashboard. This is your home screen, a customisable workspace where you can arrange panels and widgets to suit the way you work.

Setting up your profile

Before anything else, secure your account and personalise your profile:

  1. Click your avatar in the top-right corner and select Profile.

  2. Verify your email address if you haven't already.

  3. Enable two-factor authentication: this is strongly recommended. You can use a TOTP authenticator app (like Google Authenticator or 1Password) or a hardware passkey (WebAuthn).

  4. Download your backup codes and store them somewhere safe. These are your recovery option if you lose access to your authenticator.

  5. Set your preferred theme (dark, light, or system).

Inviting your team

To invite team members:

  1. Go to Settings > Users.

  2. Click Invite User.

  3. Enter their email address and select a role (see Roles & Permissions for details).

  4. They'll receive an email invitation to join your workspace.

Each invited user consumes a seat on your subscription. You can manage seats from Settings > Subscription.

Understanding the Interface

Sidebar navigation

The left sidebar is your primary navigation. What you see depends on which modules are active:

  • Dashboard: your home screen

  • Contacts: people you do business with (CRM)

  • Companies: organisations your contacts belong to (CRM)

  • Deals: sales opportunities and pipeline (CRM)

  • Calendar: appointments and booking pages (CRM)

  • Docs: knowledge base and documentation (Docs)

  • Campaigns: email marketing campaigns (Email)

  • Templates: email template library (Email)

  • Vault: encrypted password manager (Vault)

  • Products: product and service catalogue (Billing)

  • Invoices: invoice management (Billing)

  • Subscriptions: recurring billing (Billing)

Command palette

Press Ctrl+K (or Cmd+K on Mac) to open the command palette. This is a quick way to navigate anywhere, search for contacts, deals, or documents, and perform common actions without leaving your current screen.

Canvas workspaces

Several areas of concorbit use a canvas interface, a free-form workspace where you can arrange panels however you like. The dashboard is the primary canvas, but modules like Billing, Email, and Vault also offer canvas views.

On a canvas:

  • Drag panel title bars to reposition them.

  • Resize panels by dragging their edges or corners.

  • Panels avoid overlapping automatically.

  • On mobile devices, panels stack vertically.

Key Concepts

Contacts and companies

Contacts are the people you work with, clients, leads, partners, suppliers. Each contact has a profile with their details, communication history, tasks, deals, and files.

Companies are organisations. Contacts can be linked to companies, giving you a hierarchical view of who works where.

Deals and pipeline

A deal represents a sales opportunity. Deals move through stages in a pipeline (e.g., Lead > Qualified > Proposal > Negotiation > Won). You can customise pipeline stages from the Deals page, via the Pipeline settings gear.

Tags and segments

Tags are labels you can apply to contacts, companies, and deals for quick categorisation.

Segments are saved filters, dynamic groups of contacts that match specific criteria (e.g., "All contacts tagged VIP with a deal value over £10,000").

Books, chapters, and pages

The Docs module organises content in a hierarchy: Books contain Chapters, which contain Pages. Think of it like a wiki or knowledge base.

Vault secrets

The Vault stores encrypted credentials, passwords, API keys, SSH keys, notes. Secrets are organised in folders with role-based access tiers (staff, management, director).

Once your account is set up, here's a suggested order of operations:

  1. Configure your brand: go to Settings > Brand to set your logo and accent colour. This applies to your workspace, emails, and client portal.

  2. Set up email: go to Settings > SMTP to configure your email provider. This is required before you can send emails, invoices, or campaign messages.

  3. Import your contacts: if you're migrating from another tool, import your contacts and companies via the CRM.

  4. Create your pipeline: customise your deal stages to match your sales process (open the Deals page and use the Pipeline settings gear).

  5. Set up your products (concorbit Pro+ only), add your products and services to the catalogue for use in invoices and subscriptions.

  6. Configure the portal: enable portal access for key clients so they can view invoices, download files, and send you messages.

  7. Create your first document: open the Docs module and create a book for your internal procedures or client-facing knowledge base.

Getting Help

  • This documentation covers every feature in detail. Use the sidebar or search to find what you need.

  • Support access: if you need hands-on help, go to Settings > Support Access to grant temporary access to the concorbit team. This access is fully audited and can be revoked at any time.
