Dashboard & Workspace

Dashboard & Workspace

The dashboard is the first thing you see when you log into concorbit. It's a customisable home screen where you can arrange panels, widgets, and tools to match the way you work.

Dashboard Views

concorbit offers two dashboard modes:

Widget grid (default)

The traditional dashboard layout. A 5-column grid of widgets that gives you an at-a-glance overview of your workspace. Widgets include:

  • Welcome: a greeting with the time of day and quick access to common actions.

  • Quick Actions: shortcuts to frequently used features (new contact, new deal, new invoice, etc.).

  • Metrics: configurable KPI cards showing counts, totals, or averages.

  • Activity Feed: recent actions across the workspace (new contacts, deals moved, invoices sent).

  • Pipeline Summary: visual breakdown of deals by stage.

  • Recent Contacts: the contacts you've viewed or modified most recently.

  • Recent Companies: same for companies.

  • Upcoming Appointments: your next scheduled meetings.

  • Calendar Mini View: a compact calendar showing the current week.

  • Invoice Stats: outstanding, overdue, and paid invoice totals (concorbit Pro+ only).

  • Subscription Stats: active subscription metrics (concorbit Pro+ only).

  • Portal Messages: unread messages from portal users.

  • Vault Recent: recently accessed vault secrets.

Canvas workspace

The canvas workspace is a free-form surface where you can place and arrange panels however you like. Unlike the widget grid, panels on the canvas can be:

  • Any size: drag edges and corners to resize.

  • Any position: drag title bars to reposition.

  • Overlapping-aware: the layout engine automatically pushes panels aside to prevent overlap.

  • Collapsible: minimise panels to just their title bar, or maximise to fill the canvas.

Canvas workspaces are available on the dashboard and within several modules (Billing, Email, Vault).

Using the Canvas

Adding panels

Click the Add Panel button (or use the module's panel library) to add a new panel to the canvas. The system automatically finds an empty area near the top of the canvas to place it.

Moving panels

Click and drag the title bar of any panel to move it. The panel follows your cursor, and other panels will shift aside if needed to avoid overlap.

Resizing panels

Hover over any edge or corner of a panel to see the resize cursor. Drag to resize. Minimum panel dimensions are enforced to ensure content remains usable.

Panel controls

Each panel's title bar has up to three buttons:

  • Minimise: collapses the panel to just its title bar. Click again to restore.

  • Maximise: expands the panel to fill the entire canvas. Click again to restore.

  • Close: removes the panel from the canvas.

Z-ordering

Smaller panels automatically render above larger ones. When you're dragging or resizing a panel, it temporarily moves to the top of the stack.

Mobile behaviour

On screens narrower than 640px, the canvas switches to a vertical stack layout. Panels cannot be dragged or resized on mobile, they arrange themselves automatically in a single column.

Canvas Templates

concorbit includes pre-built canvas templates for common workflows:

  • Billing Workspace: contacts list, invoice viewer, financial stats, and detail panels arranged for invoice processing.

  • Email Workspace: template library, campaign builder, and analytics side-by-side.

  • Vault Workspace: vault browser, search, and recent items in one view.

  • Portal Inbox: conversation list, message thread, and activity feed for managing portal messages.

You can start from a template and customise it to your needs.

Customising Your Dashboard

Choosing your default view

You can switch between the widget grid and canvas workspace using the view toggle at the top of the dashboard.

Saving your layout

Canvas layouts are automatically saved. Every time you move or resize a panel, the layout is saved after a short delay (300ms of inactivity). Your layout is personal, other users in your workspace have their own.

Resetting your layout

To start fresh, close all panels and add new ones from the panel library, or switch to a canvas template.

Command Palette

The command palette is accessible from anywhere in concorbit by pressing Ctrl+K (or Cmd+K on Mac). It provides:

  • Quick navigation: type the name of any page (Contacts, Invoices, Settings) to jump there.

  • Search: search for contacts, companies, deals, documents, and more across the entire workspace.

  • Actions: perform common actions without navigating away from your current page.

The command palette searches across all active modules. Results are grouped by type and ranked by relevance.

Notifications

concorbit uses real-time notifications to keep you informed of important events:

  • New portal messages from clients

  • Deal stage changes

  • Invoice payments received

  • Appointment bookings

  • Task assignments

Notifications appear as a badge on the bell icon in the top navigation bar. Click to view and dismiss notifications.

Notification preferences

You can configure which notifications you receive from your Profile settings. Options include:

  • In-app notifications (always on)

  • Email notifications (per event type)
